This is the start of our partial Lake Michigan circle tour. Ludington is port to the SS Badger car ferry that crosses Lake Michigan from Milwaukee, Wi.
Ludington is also home to a state park that boasts of 28 miles of white sugar sand shoreline (Mason County ). The state park is 5300 acres and still has an operational lighthouse.
There are about eight fishing charters out of Ludington as well as miles and miles of rivers and streams for fishing. Two marinas also operate in Ludington.
