We spent two days just sightseeing in and around Cave City. It is located in Barren County which is a dry county, no alcohol. Although they did just passed some laws allowing liquor sales. Only one restaurant and one full liquor store and one beer only store in the area. It's kind of ironic in that Kentucky is one of the biggest producers of Bourbon.
Cave City is primarily a tourist town although many of the attractions are old and some have closed. Plenty of antique stores for a small town of 2300.
We will be heading north tomorrow as they expect to see heat index over 100 degrees. Time for some cooler weather. Next stop...?
