Diamond Caverns are about a mile from Mammoth Caves. It is privately owned so the tours are a little bit more expensive.
Diamond is a wet cave so there are many more formations. Stalactites (C) in the middle for 'ceiling'. Stalagmites (G) in the middle for 'ground'. The tour is about an hour long. Not quite as expansive as Mammoth but more 'scenic'.
Both caves are connected by underground rivers.
