Drove north from Chattahoochee into Sweet Home Alabama. Drove US 231 up to Montgomery. Nice route, four lanes. Had some small towns to drive through. Beats the Interstate.
Connected with I-65 approaching Birmingham. The five or so miles into B'ham were probably the worst stretch of road so far. It was like driving 65 mph on a cobblestone road!
Overnight in a small RV park in Cornervilles, TN. 'Texas T'. The name came from the Beverly Hillbillies. Original owner was from Texas and used oil money to build the park.
Off to Mammoth Caves today.
