Dorothy never saw this much road construction on the way to OZ. Luckily after we got off the 465 loop around Indianapolis we saw no Orange Construction Signs! Smooth sailing to the foot of The Great Smoky Mountains on the way to Chattanooga, TN. It's a LONG uphill climb on I75 to get over the top and start heading back down to Chattanooga. Downhill, it's a 6% grade. They have plenty of turn-outs for 18 wheelers whose brakes fail or otherwise. We were hoping they didn't have one with a big 'RVs ONLY' stenciled into the sand, LOL. After the big downhill slide we crossed the beautiful Tennessee River and the NickaJack Lake http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nickajack_Lake . Sure wished there was a place we could have stopped to take some pics, but the 18 Wheelers were trying to play tag with us. The leaves are just starting to change colors here.
We had a short day of driving today. 500 miles. We are spending the night at the 'Harvest Moon RV Park' in Adairsville, GA. Very nice park. Lot's of pull through sites so we don't have to disconnect the HHR. Sunny and 87 today, NO humidity.Looks like a great weather week to Sarasota.
BTW, that's Toto that Sue is holding.
