New Braunfels, TX

We arrived late today from Oklahoma City and the temps were in the high 80s and some areas 90+. Things are about to change though. A huge cold front is dipping into this part of Texas from the north. It will only be in the 70s for highs. Can 'cold front' and '70s for a high' be used in the same sentence together? LOL. Anyway...

Braunfels means 'brown rock' in German and was named after the city of Braunfels in Germany. German settlers arrived here in the mid 1800s and today the city still maintains it's 'old world' heritage.
New Braunfels Courthouse.

We are staying for a few days at Hill Country RV Park. It is located off I-35 at exit 184. The park is a mix of permanents, mobile homes, 'cottage rentals' and RVs.
