A gloomy weather day in the Twin Ports

Early morning thunderstorms gave way to a thick blanket of fog over the city. The temperatures barely made it above 60 degrees. It looked like the winds were going to push the fog out, but the fog won.

A trip to Enger Tower gave a good view of .....the fog.

A view of Lake Superior

Enger Tower is 80' tall and that puts the top at 531' above Lake Superior. It was dedicated in June 1939 by Crown Prince Olav of Norway. It memorializes Bert Enger, a Norwegian immigrant, who donated the land.
