Yamassee is a small city in Beaufort County in South Carolina. It is about an hour north of Savannah, GA. The population is about 1100 people.
The park we stayed in is part of Thousand Trails/Encore. The park is heavily wooded with live oak trees covered with spanish moss. It's an older park that has not been kept up well.
We spent the day in nearby Beaufort NC.
