Lenoir is at the foothills of the Smoky Mountains about half way between Asheville and Winston-Salem. At one time this city was known as the furniture capitol of North Carolina. The surrounding area had some of the most well known furniture manufacturers located here. A lot of the manufacturing is now done in China. There are still many retailers located here.
The park we are staying in is part of the Thousand Trails Campgrounds owned by Encore and parent company is Equity Lifestyles. This is a membership campground, we were given one year free from our RV dealer in Ft Meyers.
The park is nestled in tall pine trees.There are daily activities as well as two pools, mini-golf, great hall and a small lake.
