August 6th we picked up our new 'home on wheels'. It is a 2003 Winnebago Sightseer. 33' long with one slide out. Very clean, 23,000 miles, new tires awning and coach batteries.

The 'maiden voyage' was to the Winnebago Factory in Forest City, Iowa. They allow one or two nights camping with just electric hook-ups. We toured the Factory and saw how their motorhomes are put together. Very interesting.

The Winnebago Plant is located in Forest City, IA, population 4700. At one time, at their peak, Winnebago employed over 4,000 people. When the economy crashed in 2008 they were down to about 900 employees and are now back up to 1500.
